Dogs Day Out is seeking an experienced highly motivated groomer to join our team with the following qualities:

Essential Functions:

·   Follow close guidance for grooms to meet the specifications for the client

·   Constantly ensures the safety, security, and well-being of each pet

·   Always interacts with customers in a warm, friendly and professional manner.

·   Keeps work area free of hair and clutter, and sanitizes tools and compartments between pets

·   Always endeavors to maintain as high of levels of productivity as is possible while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards

Skills and Experience:

·   Must be a pet fanatic and have a love for pets!

·   Must be high school graduate or equivalent

·   Graduate of certified grooming program preferred

·   Must pass background check

·   Experienced Groomer with strong work ethics and good communication skills

·   Groomer must carry a safe and gentle approach to his/her grooming techniques

·   Proficient scissoring, de-matting & clipping skills are a must, as well as willingness to learn new updated grooming methods

·   Must be able to physically hold and restrain pets who may struggle, scratch, or try to bite. This requires the emotional ability to remain calm and compassionate with animals who are reacting to fear and/or pain and the physical strength, dexterity, and reflexes to keep the pet and themselves safe.

·   Training and experience grooming common dog breeds

·   Must be able to handle dogs on leashes

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

·   Tuesday to Saturday

Supplemental Pay:

·   Signing bonus: $500 after 6-months

·   35% of commission (fulltime ave $600-$800 weekly)
